Controller Cost Estimator

COMPANY BACKGROUND

YOUR TASKS

• Preparing cost estimates for quotes for new products: calculating costs of materials, labour and other resources, verifying and challenging assumptions in terms of material usage, scrap levels, process and labour times, freight, etc.


• Close cooperation with the project team: Project Manager, Sales, Procurement, R&D, Engineering and Operations departments in order to obtain information necessary to prepare reliable quotes


• Product cost analysis (trend, comparative, pre- and post-implementation) and providing business with insights on costs and potential efficiencies


• Supporting business in evaluating impact of margin enhancing initiatives – process/design changes


• Contributing to development of product profitability analysis based on actual costs


• Participating in budgeting and forecasting cycles


• Participation in month end closing and reporting process

YOUR PROFILE

• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics


• 5+ years of professional experience working in controlling role (automotive industry and international environment an advantage)


• Solid analytical skills – passion for numbers and competence in working with large data sets


• Strong communication skills – communicating effectively with Project Manager, project team and supporting departments


• Advanced Excel skills


• Experience with ERP systems  (Axapta an advantage)


• Very good written and spoken English
