Job Description - Data Architect (Senior)

We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to support large-scale transformation initiatives within a complex enterprise environment. The role focuses on data architecture, integrations, distributed systems, and the evolution of modern platforms across cloud, microservices, and legacy landscapes.

This is a cross-functional architectural role requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise, working across multiple programmes and teams to shape architecture direction and support long-term transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

â

â¢ Define and review enterprise data architecture and high level designs

â¢ Support transformation of systems towards microservices and cloud based solutions

â¢ Work across data platforms, integrations, and distributed systems

â¢ Collaborate with development, DevOps, and analysis teams across multiple projects

â¢ Support architectural decision making and ensure consistency across solutions

â¢ Participate in key project ceremonies and guide architecture direction

â¢ Remove conceptual and technical blockers during delivery

â¢ Support introduction and evaluation of new technologies and architectural approaches

Requirements

â¢ Strong experience in data or solution architecture in enterprise environments

â¢ Experience working with distributed systems and microservices architectures

â¢ Strong understanding of data platforms, integrations, and system design

â¢ Ability to operate across both high level architecture and detailed technical discussions

â¢ Strong analytical thinking and problem solving capability

â¢ Experience working in complex, multi project environments

â¢ Strong communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders

Nice to have

â

â¢ Experience with Azure or cloud based data platforms

â¢ Experience in banking or regulated environments

â¢ Experience with Kubernetes, SaaS integrations, or large scale enterprise ecosystems

â¢ Experience defining HLD documentation
