Job Description - Data Engineer

If you want to:

  • Design and build enterprise‑grade data solutions that directly support business decision‑making

  • Work closely with stakeholders as a trusted data partner, translating complex needs into scalable and reliable data products

  • Develop modern data models, ETL processes, and analytics solutions in a global med‑tech organization

Apply today!

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data Intelligence team and help shape how data is ingested, modeled, and consumed across the organization. In this role, you will work at the intersection of business and technology, delivering high‑quality, secure, and scalable data solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders and agile teams to ensure our data platform enables impactful insights and long‑term value.

Working with us, You will receive:

  • Full-time work agreement in an international organization

  • Learning and development opportunities adapted to your needs and supporting your growth

  • Hybrid work model, combining remote work opportunities with work in an office in the Szczecin City Center

  • Flexible working hours

  • Benefits package including social benefits (private medical health care, insurance, sport card, etc.)

  • Scandinavian culture – informal, focused on equality, independence, open dialog, and work-life balance

What tasks are waiting for you?

  • Act as a trusted data partner for stakeholders by translating business requirements into scalable and reliable data solutions

  • Proactively communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to ensure transparency and alignment throughout delivery cycles

  • Drive continuous improvement of data quality, performance, scalability, automation, and time to value

  • Build and operate enterprise‑grade data pipelines and ETL processes across diverse data sources

  • Design and own data models for large and complex datasets, applying advanced modeling standards

  • Develop and maintain semantic models and dashboards in LookML and Power BI to enable self‑service analytics

  • Set engineering quality standards through peer reviews, best practices, and comprehensive documentation

  • Oversee user access management in line with data governance and security policies, ensuring compliance and auditability

We are looking for someone who is skilled in critical thinking, communication, and able to work with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels. The ability to problem-solve with a self-organized approach but also work within a team that spans multiple cultures is also extremely important to us. Openness to gain new skills and developing is a cornerstone of the team, and we believe that will continue to be the case as we work towards meeting the ever-evolving needs of a growing retail business in a digital world.

Apply today if you have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferably in IT or a related field, combined with several years of hands‑on experience building and operating enterprise‑scale data platforms.

  • Strong expertise in modern data engineering, including cloud and hybrid environments (Azure Fabric, Google Cloud, on‑prem SQL), ETL/ELT architectures, APIs, and data modeling for analytical use cases.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with solid experience using Git for version control and Terraform for infrastructure‑as‑code; bonus experience with SQLX, YAML, and/or HTML.

  • Proven results in designing scalable data solutions, conducting POCs, and resolving complex issues through structured root‑cause analysis.

  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining semantic and BI layers, including LookML and/or DAX, enabling governed self‑service analytics at scale.

  • Ability to communicate with others clearly and effectively,

  • Capabilities of delivering timely updates to stakeholders and simplifying complex technical concepts.

  • Collaborative team player mindset, actively contributing during development, reviews, and incident resolution.

  • Familiarity working within data governance and management frameworks to ensure compliance with relevant legislation (GDPR, HIPAA, APA etc.)

We are waiting to hear from you!
