Job Description - Europe Customer Operations Senior Finance Manager Logistics and Overheads HUB Head

JOB PURPOSE
As Senior Finance Manager CO FP&A this role entails Finance Business Partnering European Customer Operations teams on Logistics & Customer Operations matters. The role will head Customer Ops Finance Hub located in Katowice, Poland that supports all pan-European Finance activities across Transport, Warehousing & Overheads. This role presents a huge opportunity to unlock value for Unilever by ensuring robust financial framework and unlocking optimization opportunities to drive logistics performance improvement. This role reports to the Europe Customer Operations Finance Director and has close proximity to the Customer Operations VP & the rest of the Europe Customer Operations LT.

Hub Head will manage multi-layered team of approximately 8 Managers & Analyst and report into the European Customer Operations Finance team. The role will also be responsible for ensuring efficient collaboration and business partnering with the Supply Chain Finance Services team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Finance Business Partnering + Financial Planning & Analytics:
• Manage the full Logistics Cost Forecast process for Transport & overheads
• Lead month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy & robustness of reporting
• Analyze Actuals vs. Forecast variances and prepare a summary of root causes for management
• Drive performance by interacting directly with CO Leads from the 6 BG-Led Markets, Logistics Operations leads, and SCFS teams
• Together with the Logistics Operations team, drive Savings & Optimization initiatives
• Managing the annual planning activities, including the business plan for Logistics
• Act as Budget Controller for Functional Overheads
• Drive process standardization, optimization & digitalization for Finance processes.

• Act as knowledgeable, purposeful & motivated manager to a diverse team of 8 members.


 QUALIFICATIONS 
• 7 or more years of Finance experience incl. line management experience of 7-10 people
• Evidence of strong people & team management abilities
• Experience & passion for process optimisation and digitalisation
• Structured and well-organised mindset
• Passion about high performance and working in a diverse team
• Ability to quickly navigate between detailed and helicopter views
• Ability to work under time pressure and ability to dynamically prioritise the workload
• Ability to understand complex dependencies and drive simplification
• Strong networking skills and ability to build connections with teams spread across the region
• Dynamic, Flexible, and Positive mindset
• Fluent level in spoken & written English

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
• Former Supply Chain Finance experience at a global or regional level would be beneficial
