RIFCON GmbH was founded in 2000 to make an important contribution to consumer, environmental and nature protection. More than 200 employees work in the areas agrosciences, environmental planning and sustainability. In the field of agrosciences we are offering comprehensive professional services for the registration of synthetic and biological plant protection and EU fertilising products (e.g. biostimulants, fertilizers, inhibitors etc.). This ranges from complete EU registration packages, general consultancy work to sophisticated GLP field studies and various combinations of these elements.
Our employees work either at our headquarter in Hirschberg, very close to the beautiful city of Heidelberg, at our offices in Ludwigshafen or from home.
For our Toxicology team located in Hirschberg / Germany we are looking for an experienced regulatory toxicologist expert (m/f/d).
As part of our growing team of toxicologists, the candidate will be involved in various aspects of registration and evaluation activities of products and active ingredients.:
Monitoring of toxicological GLP studies including the preparation and assessment of study plans and protocols
Evaluation of existing toxicological studies, data gap analysis
Development of registration strategies and higher tier approaches
Interdisciplinary work on the human and environmental safety requirements, e.g. collaboration with our ecotox and effect modelling teams to link your expertise in toxicology to the ecological risk assessment of vertebrates
Evaluation of authority requests and commenting
Strategic consultancy / project management
Applying models to assess the exposure to humans
Compilation of expert statements
Representing RIFCON in scientific expert groups and associations (e.g. ECETOC).
Communication with clients and regulatory authorities
Classification and Labelling (CLP)
Compilation of registration dossiers (global with focus on EU)
University degree in toxicology
Professional experience in regulatory toxicology is a must (e.g. consultancy, CRO, industry, authority)
Knowledge of additional regulatory processes and related guidelines for chemicals in the EU would be an asset (REACH, Plant Protection, Biocides)
Experience in in the following fields is advantageous:
In-silico/QSAR methods
ED assessment
Metabolism and kinetics
Study monitoring
Very good level of written and spoken English, other language skills are advantageous
