Principal Data Consultant with Azure

Type of contract: B2B contract 

Salary range: 200-265 PLN/H

What will you do?

Join a team focused on designing and delivering modern data platforms and architectures that support advanced analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making. You will work closely with business stakeholders and engineering teams to define data strategies, shape architectural solutions, and ensure high standards of data quality, scalability, and performance across cloud-based environments.

Your tasks

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks


• Build and maintain modern data platforms on Microsoft Azure


• Design and implement semantic data models and semantic layers for analytics and reporting


• Develop data transformation and processing solutions using Databricks (PySpark/Spark)


• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions


• Lead technical discussions and provide architectural guidance to development teams


• Design and optimize data models for analytical and reporting solutions


• Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, metadata management, and security


• Automate data processing workflows and implement DataOps best practices


• Optimize the performance and cost of Azure-based data solutions


• Support and mentor engineers within the project team

Your skills

• At least 8 years of commercial experience as a Data Engineer, Lead Data Engineer, or Data Architect


• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Databricks


• 6+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure


• 6+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory


• Strong experience in data analysis and data modelling


• Experience designing and implementing semantic layers for analytical solutions


• Strong expertise in SQL


• Strong expertise in Python


• Experience with Spark / PySpark


• Experience designing modern analytical and data warehousing solutions


• Experience working directly with business stakeholders and leading technical discussions


• Excellent communication skills and experience in client-facing environments

Nice to have

• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Qlik, or Apache Superset


• Experience in consulting environments


• Experience with Azure Synapse Analitics and Microsoft Fabric
