Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new enterprise-grade master data governance solution. This is a contract role offering you the opportunity to drive transformational change across a large-scale, strategically important programme. Position Overview
This role is central to modernising how our client manages master data across their organisation. You will oversee the full lifecycle of replacing an outdated master data governance platform with a new, centralised solution that serves as the single source of truth for customer, supplier, material, product and financial data. Your leadership will eliminate data silos, resolve longstanding data quality issues and establish clear governance protocols. The success of this programme directly impacts operational efficiency, data compliance and the reliability of downstream business systems across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own the complete project charter, implementation roadmap, work breakdown structure, budget and timeline aligned to all cross-system integration milestones
- Define clear project scope, acceptance criteria and governance rules, actively managing scope creep and customisation requests
- Establish cross-functional governance alignment and clarify master data ownership across all domains, enforcing data stewardship protocols
- Lead regular governance meetings, providing transparent progress, risk and milestone reporting to executive stakeholders
- Oversee the full lifecycle of legacy data extraction, cleansing, deduplication and migration ensuring zero business disruption
- Coordinate the sunsetting of legacy systems and transition of all workflows to the new centralised platform
- Manage full data validation and reconciliation post-migration, resolving historical data quality issues
- Oversee design, development, testing and deployment of all bi-directional and uni-directional system integrations
- Coordinate with internal IT teams, external vendors and system administrators to resolve integration errors and data sync failures
- Manage third-party vendors and integration partners, negotiating SLAs and holding partners accountable to delivery standards
- Identify, mitigate and escalate project-critical risks including integration failures, data migration errors and stakeholder misalignment
- Manage full project budget, track expenditures and ensure delivery within approved financial boundaries
- Enforce strict data quality and testing standards, overseeing UAT, integration testing and cut-over activities
Requirements
- 6-8 years of project management experience, ideally within data governance, system implementation or enterprise transformation programmes
- Proven experience managing large-scale legacy platform migrations and data integration projects
- Strong knowledge of master data governance frameworks, data quality standards and data stewardship protocols
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams, third-party vendors and complex stakeholder environments
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems, data integration platforms and multi-system environments
- Excellent budget management, risk management and financial reporting capabilities
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive audiences
- Experience managing UAT, integration testing and system cut-over activities
- Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent) is advantageous
- Fluency in English; Polish language skills are a plus
