Release Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Release Manager to lead the planning, governance, coordination, and execution of releases across a large-scale ERP transformation program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the controlled deployment of business-critical changes while minimizing operational risk and maintaining system stability.

This role requires extensive experience in enterprise Release Management, Change Management, stakeholder engagement, impact assessments, and release governance within complex technology environments. Experience with Infor M3 ERP and large-scale ERP transformation programs is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Release Management

• Own and manage the end-to-end Release Management lifecycle for ERP transformation initiatives.
  
• Develop and maintain integrated release plans across multiple applications, business functions, and technology workstreams.
  
• Coordinate releases involving ERP platforms, integrations, middleware, reporting solutions, and third-party applications.
  
• Manage enterprise release calendars and ensure alignment across projects and delivery teams.
  
• Ensure timely, high-quality releases with minimal disruption to business operations.
  

Change & Deployment Governance

• Establish, implement, and continuously improve release governance processes, standards, and controls.
  
• Coordinate production deployments, go-live activities, rollback strategies, and post-release validation.
  
• Lead Release Readiness Assessments and Go/No-Go decision meetings.
  
• Ensure compliance with organizational Change Management policies, audit requirements, and governance standards.
  

Critical System Change Management

• Assess and manage changes affecting mission-critical business applications.
  
• Coordinate change approvals through the Change Advisory Board (CAB).
  
• Identify release dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies.
  
• Maintain complete release documentation, traceability, and audit readiness throughout the release lifecycle.
  

Impact Assessment

• Conduct comprehensive impact assessments for system enhancements, upgrades, and transformation initiatives.
  
• Evaluate cross-functional dependencies across ERP modules, integrated systems, interfaces, and business processes.
  
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify operational impacts and define mitigation plans.
  
• Assess downstream impacts on reporting, integrations, data flows, and end-user operations.
  

Stakeholder Management

• Partner closely with Program Managers, Project Managers, Business Leaders, Solution Architects, Development Teams, QA, Infrastructure, and Operations.
  
• Provide regular release status updates, dashboards, and executive-level reporting.
  
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across geographically distributed teams.
  
• Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and resolve release conflicts.
  

Risk & Issue Management

• Identify, assess, and mitigate release-related risks.
  
• Track issues through resolution and escalate critical concerns when required.
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance release quality, predictability, and operational efficiency.
  

Process Improvement

• Improve Release Management processes through automation, standardization, and industry best practices.
  
• Define and monitor release KPIs and performance metrics.
  
• Support DevOps maturity and CI/CD adoption where applicable.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in Release Management, IT Project Delivery, Change Management, or related disciplines.
  
• Proven experience managing enterprise-wide releases within complex ERP environments.
  
• Strong understanding of Release Management methodologies and ITIL Change Management processes.
  
• Demonstrated experience managing business-critical production deployments.
  
• Expertise in conducting enterprise-wide impact assessments for technology changes.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  
• Strong analytical, planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  
• Experience working within Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  
• Ability to coordinate multiple cross-functional teams without direct authority
