In the Integration & Automation team we play a critical role in connecting warehouse automation equipment, customer APIs, Warehouse Management System, and enterprise systems across a highly complex, global landscape.

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer who thrives with building and maintaining integrations and wants be part of building integrations across a wide range of systems and wants to shape robust, scalable solutions that directly impact warehouse operations.

Your role:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain integrations and tailor-made tooling that complement DSV’s core systems. You will work closely with stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and reliable solutions across our warehouse automation landscape.

You will also play a key role in modernising legacy applications, setting technical direction, and mentoring less experienced developers.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations and applications supporting warehouse automation and core logistics systems


• Build and support integrations between systems such as WMS, WCS, WES, TMS, and external partners using APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures


• Work with Java 17+ and Spring Boot in modern, scalable architectures


• Contribute to and lead refactoring of legacy solutions into modern tech stacks


• Analyze business processes and translate operational requirements into technical solutions


• Define technical specifications and review solution designs


• Create and execute test scenarios; participate in validation, testing, and go-live activities


• Collaborate closely with Product Owner, developers, and business stakeholders


• Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation


• Identify technical risks and proactively propose mitigations


• Mentor junior and non-senior developers and promote best practices and knowledge sharing


• Support applications in production in collaboration with support teams

What you bring:

Professional qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar


• Strong experience as a Senior Java Developer in enterprise environments

Solid knowledge of:

• Java 17+, Spring Boot


• Integration patterns, REST APIs, messaging, and event-driven systems


• Kafka / event streaming (Confluent Kafka is a plus)


• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or Oracle


• Basic DevOps knowledge


• Kubernetes


• Experience refactoring or modernizing legacy applications


• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows

• Fluent professional English (spoken and written)


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


• Able to document solutions clearly and according to standards


• Collaborative mindset and strong stakeholder communication skills


• Proactive, innovative, and comfortable challenging the “as-is” to shape better solutions
