They are currently seeking a Senior Product Engineer to join their team in Krakow on a contract basis. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern testing tools and frameworks whilst contributing to the quality and reliability of large-scale applications.
Position Overview
As a Senior Product Engineer, you'll play a central role in ensuring software quality across multiple application layers. You'll design, implement and maintain automated tests for both UI and API components, working primarily with Playwright and Java. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of complex systems, helping the team deliver high-quality software through effective test strategies, exploratory testing and continuous improvement of automation frameworks.
Responsibilities
Design and implement automated tests for UI and API using Playwright
Build and maintain automation frameworks to support continuous testing
Define and execute comprehensive test strategies across application layers
Perform exploratory testing to identify issues and edge cases
Ensure proper test coverage for new features and functionality
Integrate automated tests within CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with development teams in an Agile environment
Contribute to observability and quality metrics practices
Requirements
Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer with 4-6 years in the field
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for UI and API testing
Solid programming skills in Java for developing test frameworks
Strong understanding of test design principles and strategies
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience working within Agile methodologies
Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber (advantageous)
Familiarity with performance or load testing tools (beneficial)
Understanding of observability and quality metrics practices (beneficial)
Experience with large-scale distributed systems (advantageous)
