Job Description - Specialist, Logistics Planning

We are now looking for a Specialist, Logistics Planning to join our team in UPM Business Hub Poland in Wrocław.

“I would like to invite you to join our Logistics team in Wrocław within UPM Specialty Materials. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing transport flows, ensuring product availability, reliable deliveries, and efficient use of logistics capacity in close cooperation with internal stakeholders and service providers. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day logistics operations, including handling deviations and continuously optimizing transport performance.” - Agnieszka Nowakowska, Supply Chain Manager

What you will do 

  • Ensure flawless logistics execution to support perfect order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction
  • Determine product availability based on system data and alignment with
    relevant stakeholders
  • Plan and execute cost- and service-efficient transportation solutions across road and rail modes
  • Coordinate and manage deliveries, ensuring timely shipments in line with agreed service levels and customer expectations
  • Optimize payloads by considering load securing requirements and applicable
    transport regulations
  • Manage logistics capacity with service providers, ensuring adherence to agreed allocations and monitoring performance.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on non-conformances related to logistics service providers
  • Proactively monitor and resolve deviations and exceptions to ensure continuity and reliability of deliveries
  • Act as a key interface between Customer Service, Production Planning, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth operational coordination

Who youare  

  • You have a professional education (bachelor’s or baster’s degree) and at least one year of relevant working experience in supply, production planning or logistics 
  • You have good knowledge of supply chain processes, customer
    business, product, and service offering 
  • You have a service-orientated mindset, and you enjoy solving complex tasks 
  • You are proactive, willing to adapt to changing situations, and you have excellent communication skills
  • You are fluent in English - Other European languages, like Spanish or German are a strong asset
  • You enjoy working both independently and as a part of a team. In addition, you are accurate and have attention to details and able to work effectively even
    under pressure
  • You are eager to learn and develop, with an interest in the labeling and packaging industry
  • You have a good knowledge of IT tools

Additionalinformation about the position

This position offers a hybrid working model, combining remote work from home with regular on-site collaboration in Wrocław.

The position holder will report to Manager, Supply Chain.
