About L Hotel Fátima: The Lakhani Group (TLG) is opening L Hotel Fátima on 12 October 2026, and we are building our founding team.

The HR Assistant runs day-to-day people administration at the hotel, from recruitment and onboarding to rotas, absences and training records, and is the on-site link to TLG's central HR team. Office hours, Mon–Fri. Reports to: Hotel Manager, with a dotted line to TLG HR.

Key responsibilities:

• Support recruitment: post vacancies, screen CVs, schedule interviews and send offers

• Onboard new starters: contracts, NIF/NISS and bank details, Social Security registration and induction

• Keep personnel files and the HR system up to date, in line with GDPR

• Track attendance, holidays, absences and overtime, and prepare monthly payroll inputs

• Coordinate the 40-hour annual training requirement and keep training records

• Support health and safety at work records, medical checks and insurance

• Answer staff questions on policies, schedules and benefits

Applications are reviewed daily and interviews run on a rolling basis until positions are filled.

Requirements

• Degree or training in HR, Management, Psychology or a related field

• At least 1 year in an HR or administrative role (hospitality a plus)

• Working knowledge of Portuguese labour law and Social Security procedures

• Fluent Portuguese and good English

• Strong Excel and admin skills; discreet with confidential information

• Nice to have: HR or recruitment software experience (e.g. Zoho Recruit)
