HSE Specialist

We are looking for a HSE Technician to:

• Implement one HSE action plan on site, aligned with the Group's HSE objectives and Standards. Involve  contractors, vendors or other service providers thanks to collaborative meetings 


• Implement a Group HSE system and ensure plant operation including people, material, method, and working conditions comply with HSE standards


• To be a main actor on site HSE activities such as process safety review, training, safety monitoring, safety awareness improvement


• To be key in the process such as risk mitigation, management of change, accidents and incidents investigation


• Take immediate action when variance appears

We count on you for:

QHSE daily operations

• Be part of incident investigation and draw the root cause once incident occurred


• Organize HSE awareness programs for all staff regularly


• Monitor safe working conditions and behavior during the safety site tour, follow up of non-conformance


• To define  a site emergency response plan including periodic practices to ensure the plans are effective


• To assess HSE Legal compliance and inform the site  management on the corrective actions to apply


• Create and administer procedures for, and records of the company HSE activities to demonstrate compliance with local HSE regulation and corporate requirements


• Manage the projects allocated by the management on time and on cost


• Liaises with local authorities on HSE matters

Customer Orientation

• Keep good communication with teams, and local authorities; deploy the action\ program from these external customers on site, and issue on time safety reports


• To assist the internal customer in solving their HSE issue, reduce the HSE risk, and complete the project safely

You will bring: 

• HSE Technician course level 6


• 1 to 2 years experience in similar role


• Motivation, coach, and development


• Analysis and problem solving

• Open mind, strong communication skills


• Spreadsheets skills


• Fluent Portuguese and English

You will get:

• The Portuguese annual base salary reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: €25,200.00 to €31,500.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range.


• 16, or more, weeks of maternity/paternity and co-parenting leave, according to local regulations

Additional information:

• Location: Lisbon, Portugal


• Availability to be present in the office up to 4 times a week pending company’s needs
