IT Operations & Security Lead

We are recruiting an IT Operations & Security Lead for an international SaaS company operating across multiple markets.

This is a hands-on leadership position combining IT Operations, Infrastructure, Cloud and Information Security. The role is approximately 50% technical and hands-on and 50% focused on leadership, management, security, risk and compliance.

You will report directly to the Engineering Director.

Your Mission

You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, resilience and security of the company’s IT environment while leading IT operations, infrastructure and security activities.

The role requires someone who can remain technically involved while also owning priorities, processes, suppliers, security initiatives and the overall development of the IT function.

What You Will Do

• Lead IT Operations, Infrastructure, Information Security and Cybersecurity activities
  
• Manage and improve the company’s IT infrastructure and cloud environment
  
• Own Microsoft 365, Teams, Azure and related Microsoft technologies
  
• Oversee on-site infrastructure, virtualization and cloud services
  
• Ensure availability, performance, resilience and security of IT systems
  
• Develop IT strategies and technology roadmaps aligned with business priorities
  
• Define and monitor IT and security KPIs
  
• Manage IT budgets, suppliers, resources and technology priorities
  
• Support DevOps, automation and CI/CD practices together with Engineering
  
• Integrate security practices into development and operational processes
  
• Develop and maintain information security policies and standards
  
• Support ISO 27001, GDPR and other relevant compliance activities
  
• Own IT risk management processes and ensure risks are identified and mitigated
  
• Coordinate vulnerability assessments, penetration testing and security audits
  
• Manage information security and cybersecurity incidents
  
• Promote security awareness and continuous improvement across the organization
  

What We Are Looking For

Mandatory

• 5+ years of experience across IT Operations, Infrastructure and related technology environments
  
• Previous team, function or technical leadership experience
  
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure
  
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 and modern Microsoft infrastructure environments
  
• Solid understanding of information security and cybersecurity
  
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework or CIS Controls
  
• Experience with IT risk management
  
• Experience with security incident management and vulnerability management
  
• Understanding of DevOps, automation and CI/CD practices
  
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  
• Fluent written and spoken English
  

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code
  
• Experience building or supporting DevOps pipelines
  
• Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or similar monitoring tools
  
• Experience with ISO 27001 certification or audit processes
  
• Secure development and security monitoring experience
  
• Azure, ITIL, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001, SSCP or related certifications
  

Compensation

• Annual base salary: up to approximately €57,232
  
• Meal allowance: approximately €2,468 per year
  
• 10% performance/bonus component
  
• Total annual package: approximately €65,424
  

Interview Process

The interview process includes discussions with HR and the Engineering Director.
