Senior Data Analyst

We are looking for:  

We are seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Senior Data Analyst to transform massive datasets into actionable strategic insights. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex cloud data architecture and executive decision-making. You will lead the design of robust data pipelines, build high-impact enterprise dashboards, and mentor junior team members. 

The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in SQL, strong cross-cloud experience (Azure and GCP), mastery of enterprise visualization platforms (Power BI or Qlik), and a solid academic foundation in data sciences.

 1. Advanced Analytics & Business Intelligence

  Translate complex business questions into clear, data-driven answers for executive leadership

  Design, develop, and maintain automated, scalable dashboards and reports in Power BI or Qlik Sense

  Perform deep-dive exploratory data analysis to uncover hidden trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities

  
  

2. Cloud Data Architecture & Integration 

• 
  

  Write, optimize, and maintain complex, high-performance SQL queries and stored procedures across multi-cloud environments

  
  

• 
  

  Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from diverse sources, navigating both Microsoft Azure (e.g., Synapse, Azure Data Factory) and Google Cloud Platform (e.g., BigQuery, Cloud Storage) ecosystems

  Collaborate with Data Engineers to optimize data models, data warehouses, and reporting schemas for maximum performance

  
  

3. Leadership & Governance 

• 
  

  Act as the subject matter expert on data quality, ensuring a single source of truth across all visualization platforms

  
  

• 
  

  Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level data analysts

  
  

• 
  

  Establish and document best practices for dashboard design, data governance, and SQL optimization 

  
  

You will bring: 

Education 

• 
  

  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative field (e.g., Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related discipline)

  
  

Technical Skills 

• 
  

  Expert-level SQL: Advanced analytical functions, query optimization, and experience handling large-scale data sets

  
  

• 
  

  Dual Cloud Ecosystems: Hands-on experience working within both Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data environments

  
  

• 
  

  Data Visualization Excellence: Strong portfolio of production-grade dashboards built in Power BI (DAX/Power Query) or Qlik (QlikView/Qlik Sense), with a sharp eye for UI/UX and data storytelling

  
  

• 
  

  Data Modeling: Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts (e.g., Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Kimball methodology)

  
  

Experience & Soft Skills 

• 
  

  5+ years of progressive experience in data analytics or business intelligence roles

  Proven track record of managing stakeholders and presenting data insights directly to non-technical business leaders

  
  

• 
  

  Strong project management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  
  

Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Analyst Associate, Google Cloud Certified Professional Data Engineer)

  Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or R for advanced statistical analysis 

  
  

You will get:

  The Portuguese annual base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this new hire is: € 40,500 to € 60,500.  Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualification, and internal equity and can ultimately be more or less than the posted salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives
