Cake Decorator

We are looking for a skilled and adaptable Cake Decorator to join the production team of a fast-growing company operating across multiple markets. You will play a hands-on role in bringing customized cake designs to life, while supporting baking operations and ensuring every order is produced to a consistent standard of quality, presentation, and freshness.

In this role, you will be part of the production operation responsible for turning customer orders into beautifully finished cakes, while ensuring every product meets quality, consistency, and food safety standards. This is a cross-trained position, where you will primarily support cake decoration and finishing while flexing into baking tasks based on daily production needs.

Responsiblities

• Carry out piping, drawing, finishing, and other decorating tasks on assigned cakes.
• Support senior decorators with more complex or high-volume cake orders when required.
• Assist with baking-line activities including mixing, portioning, baking, and other production tasks.
• Follow standard recipes, decorating guidelines, and production processes consistently.
• Move between decorating and baking sections based on production volume and operational requirements.
• Ensure cakes are completed accurately and to the required quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain consistent decorating and baking techniques across different orders.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace safety standards at all times.
• Monitor ingredients and materials and flag shortages or production issues to the relevant section lead.
• Work collaboratively with the wider production team to ensure orders are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient working environment.

• 2-3 years of experience in cake decorating, baking, pastry, or a similar production environment.
• Hands-on experience with cake decoration, including piping, drawing, and finishing techniques.
• Basic to solid baking experience, including mixing, portioning, and baking.
• Comfortable moving between decorating and baking tasks based on production requirements.
• Consistent and reliable technique with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Reliable, flexible, and willing to support different areas of production when needed.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes, processes, and quality guidelines consistently.
• Passion for baking, cake decorating, and creating high-quality products.
