Chiller Operator

Responsibilities

• Operation & Monitoring: Operate and monitor central chiller plants, including water-cooled and air-cooled chillers.
  

• System Control: Adjust operating parameters, monitor gauges, meters, and control panels to ensure optimal performance.
  

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks, lubrication, and cleaning of chiller components.
  

• Corrective Maintenance: Diagnose faults, carry out minor repairs, and escalate major issues to maintenance teams.
  

• Safety Compliance: Follow HSE protocols, refrigerant handling procedures, and lockout-tagout systems.
  

• Energy Efficiency: Monitor energy consumption and recommend measures to improve efficiency.
  

• Documentation: Maintain daily logs, operational records, and maintenance reports.
  

• Emergency Response: Respond to alarms, system failures, and ensure continuity of cooling operations.
  

• Coordination: Work closely with HVAC engineers and facility managers to ensure smooth plant operations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI in Mechanical or HVAC Engineering.
  

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in chiller operation and maintenance.
