Deck Mechanic – Marine

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of deck machinery and mechanical equipment.
  
• Maintain winches, capstans, pumps, hydraulic systems, deck cranes, and related marine equipment.
  
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and manuals.
  
• Identify mechanical faults, replace defective parts, and support equipment testing.
  
• Maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance records.
  
• Follow PTW, LOTO, housekeeping, and marine HSE procedures.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of Deck Mechanic experience in marine projects.
  
• Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports, or marine facilities.
  
• Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating, and deck machinery systems.
  
• Able to troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform repair/overhaul activities.
  
• Familiar with preventive maintenance and equipment inspection practices.
  
• Trade certificate / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant discipline preferred.
