E&I Inspector - Offshore

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of electrical and instrumentation installations, ensuring compliance with project specifications, QCS, and international standards (IEC/IEEE).
  

• Verify materials, equipment, and workmanship against approved drawings and procedures.
  

• Enforce offshore HSE requirements, including PTW systems, confined space entry, and electrical isolation procedures.
  

• Prepare inspection reports, maintain calibration records, and issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) when required.
  

• Liaise with construction teams, QA/QC, and client representatives during inspections and approvals.
  

• Witness and verify pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  

• Ensure all electrical and instrumentation work is executed under valid permits.
  

• Confirm calibration of instruments and maintain traceability records.
  

• Identify hazards in electrical/instrumentation work and recommend corrective actions.
  

• Suggest improvements in inspection practices and safety culture.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  

• Minimum 5–7 years offshore inspection experience in oil & gas projects.
  

Certifications & Training

• BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified)
  

• Basic H2S Training
