Job Description - FAS Technician/Operator

Install, test, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems and associated devices.

Monitor fire alarm control panels and respond promptly to alarms, faults, and system warnings.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of detectors, manual call points, sounders, modules, and panels.

Identify system faults and perform repairs or replacements as required.

Conduct routine functional testing and ensure all fire alarm equipment is operational.

Maintain service, inspection, testing, and maintenance records.

Coordinate with maintenance, safety, and facility teams during testing or emergency situations.

Follow company HSE procedures and applicable fire and life-safety standards.

Requirements

Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field.

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in fire alarm system installation, operation, and maintenance.

Hands-on knowledge of fire alarm control panels, smoke/heat detectors, modules, sounders, and related devices.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical and fire alarm system faults.

Knowledge of preventive maintenance and fire alarm testing procedures.

Familiarity with NFPA and applicable fire safety standards is preferred.

Ability to read electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.

Good communication, reporting, and safety awareness skills.
