In this role, you will be working in our Recycling Operations Department, supporting Al‑Awalia’s operations by supervising daily yard activities and ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant recycling processes in line with operational and quality standards.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Adherence to quality, health & safety, information security, and business continuity policies.
- Support the Site Lead in supervising and coordinating daily recycling yard operations.
- Monitor site activities to ensure safe, efficient, and orderly execution of operational processes.
- Supervise site personnel including operators, drivers, and laborers to ensure compliance with procedures and site rules.
- Coordinate with the Quality team to support sampling, testing, and material compliance activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure operational readiness, reporting defects or issues promptly.
- Oversee crusher operations, production quantities, and material processing to ensure compliance with QCS requirements.
- Ensure availability and proper handling of approved materials for dispatch based on testing and sales requirements.
- Coordinate with operators and supervisors to ensure correct loading of materials prior to dispatch.
- Support coordination with customer representatives during inspections and material release activities.
- Identify and escalate operational, safety, or quality issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain discipline, safety compliance, and operational efficiency across the yard.
- Support training and development of staff on operational procedures and safety standards.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and adherence to company policies.
- Perform any other ad-hoc duties relevant to the role as assigned by the line manager.
About you
For you to be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:
- Diploma in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant site-based experience in recycling, construction materials, quarrying, or heavy industry.
- Good command of the English language.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong understanding of recycling operations and production processes.
- Familiarity with material types and their handling requirements.
- Basic awareness of Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) requirements.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills in site environments.
- Ability to monitor operations, manage teams, and ensure compliance with procedures.
- Proactive problem-solving mindset with strong organizational skills.
- Strong teamwork and relationship-building abilities.
- Professional conduct with high integrity and discipline.
