Generator Mechanic

Responsibilities

Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of diesel and industrial generators.
Diagnose mechanical faults, abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, and performance issues.
Inspect and replace bearings, belts, filters, hoses, seals, gaskets, and other mechanical components.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to approved schedules and procedures.
Perform engine servicing, lubrication, cooling-system checks, and fuel-system maintenance.
Support dismantling, assembly, alignment, and testing of generator components.
Read and interpret technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and maintenance instructions.
Maintain accurate maintenance and inspection records.
Follow all HSE, PTW, and site safety requirements.

Requirements

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Generator Mechanic in the Oil & Gas industry.
Diploma / ITI / Technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive, or Mechanical Maintenance preferred.
Hands-on experience with diesel generators and associated mechanical systems.
Good knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, cooling systems, lubrication systems, bearings, and couplings.
Experience in shutdown, turnaround, or plant maintenance projects is preferred.
Ability to use mechanical tools and precision measuring instruments.
Good troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
Physically fit and able to work in demanding Oil & Gas environments.
Immediate availability preferred.
