Pastry Commis Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

A well-established hospitality and F&B company in Riyadh is looking for a Pastry Commis to support its pastry and bakery team, assisting with the preparation of desserts, breads, and baked goods across a busy multi-outlet operation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of pastries, cakes, desserts, and bread under the guidance of senior pastry chefs


• Measure and prepare ingredients accurately according to recipes and portion standards


• Support daily mise en place for the pastry section, including doughs, fillings, and garnishes


• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and equipment


• Follow food safety, hygiene, and storage standards (HACCP) for perishable ingredients and finished products


• Assist with plating and presentation of desserts for service


• Monitor stock of pastry ingredients, flagging replenishment needs to senior staff


• Support the pastry team during high-volume periods and special events

Requirements

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a pastry commis or in a similar entry-level pastry role in a hotel, restaurant, or large-scale F&B operation


• Basic knowledge of pastry and baking techniques


• Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior pastry chefs


• Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP)


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment


• Conversational proficiency in English


• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
