Job Description - Technical Author

Prepare and edit Train Operating Manuals, Maintenance Manuals, Parts Catalogs, and supporting technical documentation.

Create and manage digital documentation in accordance with project procedures and documentation standards.

Review and validate technical documents produced by suppliers, engineering teams, and maintenance teams.

Administer documentation and Content Management Systems, ensuring accurate approval, distribution, and publication.

Gather technical information using systems such as SAP, Cor-map, SharePoint, and other engineering platforms.

Coordinate with Maintenance Engineers, Technical Managers, Engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders for timely document approvals.

Requirements

Experience in Digital Maintenance Management Systems.

Proven technical documentation experience in heavy industry, preferably Rolling Stock maintenance.

Experience using documentation management systems within an engineering environment.

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and time-management skills.

Railway industry knowledge or train/heavy-industry maintenance experience is preferred.
