Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading technology solutions and services provider in Doha, Qatar. Our client is seeking an experienced Virtualization Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise\-grade virtualization solutions that enhance infrastructure efficiency, scalability, resilience, and performance across on\-premise and cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
\- Design end\-to\-end virtualization architecture blueprints covering compute, storage, network, and cloud integration.
\- Plan and manage resource allocation, workload placement, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies within virtualized environments.
\- Lead and oversee the implementation of virtualization solutions in collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams.
\- Configure, manage, and optimize virtual machines, virtual networks, and virtual storage resources.
\- Develop a virtualization strategy aligned with business objectives, IT standards, scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
\- Establish and maintain monitoring processes to track virtualization infrastructure performance, capacity, and health.
\- Implement integration with cloud platforms to ensure service continuity, scalability, and high availability.
\- Perform regular maintenance activities to ensure system stability, security, and minimal downtime.
\- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, availability, and capacity issues within the virtualized environment.
\- Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline virtual machine provisioning, lifecycle management, and operational efficiency.
\- Maintain clear technical documentation, architecture diagrams, standards, and operational procedures.
\- Stay current with virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, and infrastructure best practices.
Requirements
\- Bachelorâs degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
\- Minimum 5 years of experience in VMware infrastructure management.
\- At least 3 years of experience in software\-defined storage (VNX).
\- Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud virtualization and high availability management.
\- Strong hands\-on expertise in enterprise virtualization platforms and infrastructure operations.
\- Proven ability to design, implement, and support highly available and scalable virtualized environments.
\- Strong problem\-solving skills with the ability to manage complex infrastructure issues.
\- Experience working with cross\-functional IT teams and stakeholders.
