Welding Inspection: Conduct inspection of welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, ASME, AWS, and ISO codes.
Procedure & Consumable Verification: Review and validate welding procedures, consumables, and welder qualifications.
Quality Assurance: Monitor welding operations, joint preparation, and post‑weld heat treatment for adherence to standards.
NDT Coordination: Supervise or perform NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and review reports for accuracy.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain welding inspection records, WPS/PQR documentation, and QA/QC logs.
Non‑Conformance Management: Identify welding defects, issue NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
Safety Compliance: Ensure welding operations comply with HSE protocols, especially for confined space and hot work.
Coordination: Liaise with QA/QC managers, project engineers, and contractors to resolve welding issues.
Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Mandatory Certification: CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspector) or CSWIP 3.2 (Senior Welding Inspector).
Minimum 5–10 years welding inspection experience, with offshore oil & gas exposure preferred.
Strong knowledge of ASME Section IX, AWS D1.1, API codes, and ISO standards.
CSWIP 3.1/3.2 Welding Inspector (mandatory).
NDT Level II (RT, UT, MT, PT) preferred.
ISO 9001 Quality Management awareness.
Offshore survival training (BOSIET/HUET).
HSE training for hot work and confined space.
