Backend Developer (.NET & C++)

Who we are

We are looking for a Middle-Senior Backend Developer / Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 engineering support for SAP PowerDesigner. You will investigate complex customer issues, debug and maintain backend components, develop and validate hotfixes, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute targeted product improvements in a long-term enterprise support environment.

You will work in an English-speaking, distributed product-support organization serving SAP stakeholders and enterprise customers. The role combines hands-on backend development with operational support: incident ownership, customer-focused investigation, maintenance engineering, and continuous improvement. Collaboration will span development, support leadership, architecture, and service delivery.

                            
What you'll be doing

• Analyze and resolve L2/L3 product incidents


• Reproduce issues and perform structured root-cause analysis


• Debug C#/.NET and C/C++ components


• Develop, test, and validate hotfixes and maintenance changes


• Investigate customer-reported defects and performance issues


• Document findings, fixes, and reusable troubleshooting guidance


• Contribute focused feature and product-quality improvements
                              
  
  

What you'll bring along

• BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field


• 5-7 years of software development experience


• Strong hands-on C# and .NET development skills


• Practical C or C++ development and debugging experience


• Solid SQL and relational database knowledge


• Experience with SAP PowerDesigner 


• Comfortable owning technical investigations end to end


• PowerShell or VBScript scripting skills   


• Balances code quality with timely incident resolution


• Familiarity with data-modelling tools and concepts


• Communicates clearly with customers and distributed teams


• Enterprise software or product-support experience


• Works effectively as an individual contributor


• Experience supporting long-lived desktop or backend products


• Strong troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills


• Experience with Agile development methodologies


• Good written and spoken English communication skills
