Your tasks

• Leading the department in a pro-active role throughout the execution for defined offshore wells in a safe and efficient manner within budget, quality,time and its decision making


• Accountable for the coordination of staff (DSI/DSV’s) for the Offshore Well Delivery wells execution,


• Accountable for the provision of technical expertise and support to optimising OPEX and CAPEX during surface engineering phase and imporivng production & Energy efficiency according to company standards and business requirements


• Manages 3rd party contracts and SQM’s related to the job scope;


• Responsible for the continual assessment the potential impact of emerging technologies to improve capabilities.


• Acts and make decision on a high level of freedom and responsibility together with the DM Offshore Well Engineering


• Manages well construction performance and solves problems related to the job scope and provides efficient support in case of emergency


• Collaborate with the Offshore Well Delivery wells engineering team for designing wells which be drilled under his responsibilities


• Manage relationship with Senior Management and Department Managers to insure that drilling issues are addressed and communicated effectively


• Participates in WRB’s, PR’s, DWOP’s, pre-spud meetings, LL/AAR,  etc. and provides input to related WDP documentation

Your profile

• Bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineering / Well Engineeering 


• Relevant professional experience: > 9 years


• Very good people management skills.


• Solid knowledge of the business and the industry in which the organization operates. In-depth specialist knowledge background in the relevant function of 9 years


• Management roles: with >5 years of leadership experience


• Strong personal commitment to HSSE


• Valid job related certificates where applicable (as IWCF Level-4, etc.)


• Detailed and extensive knowledge in well construction, drilling rigs, drilling fluids, cementing, drillistring, directional drilling, well control- and other safety critical equipment, well integrity, formation evaluation, well testing and stimulation, casing and completion design, wellheads and Xmas trees.


• Analytical and communication skills as well as managerial experience


• Fluent in spoken and written English
