About the Role

Smyths Toys is seeking a dynamic, hands-on Multimedia Content Creator to join our in-house Design Team. Your mission is to bring our massive range of products to life through high-impact video, professional photography, and trend-setting social media content.

• This role is located in our Head Office in Galway


• Starting Salary: €40,000

Responsibilities

• 
  

  Video Production (End-to-End):

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Lead the full production cycle: ideation, storyboarding, scripting, filming, and post-production.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Create high-energy "Hero" videos for the website and social platforms (Youtube, TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube shorts, Facebook, Instagram) 

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Master mobile-first editing (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or After Effects) to ensure high retention and engagement.

  Photography & Visual Assets:

  
  
  
  
  • 
    

    Conduct high-quality product photography sessions in-studio and on-location.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Edit and retouch imagery for use on our global E-commerce sites, social media channels and print catalogue. 

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Source props and manage set styling to ensure every toy looks its best.

    Coordinate with the wider marketing and buying teams to ensure all content aligns with broader campaign goals.

  Maintain brand consistency across all materials.

  
  

The Ideal Candidate

• 
  

  Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.

  
  


• 
  

  2+ years of hands-on experience behind the camera, with a proven track record of shooting both professional video and product photography.

  
  


• 
  

  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom) and mobile editing tools.

  
  


• 
  

  You thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong organisational and time management skills.

  
  


• 
  

  Attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot.

  
  


• Flexibility to travel for on-location shoots, with a full, clean driver’s license and access to a vehicle.
