Plant Manager - Component Plant Hunedoara (m/f/d)

As Plant Manager, you will assume full responsibility for the DRÄXLMAIER plant in Hunedoara – a site with around 1,000 employees and a strong focus on injection molding and assembly for international OEMs. Your mission is to lead the plant operationally, establish clear structures, and drive its ongoing modernization and digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full leadership responsibility for all employees and the site management team, both disciplinary and functional


• P&L ownership, budget planning and control and optimization of cost and value‑creation structures


• Ensuring high‑quality, stable and on‑time production processes in line with customer requirements


• Building clear workflows, advancing organizational development, and actively driving the digital transformation (including SAP S/4HANA)


• Implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives (e.g. PDCA, Six Sigma) to sustainably increase productivity


• Developing talent, strengthening leadership capability, and deriving site‑specific targets


• Close collaboration with international DRÄXLMAIER plants and global functions

Candidate Profile:

• Completed technical university degree (e.g. mechanical engineering), ideally with additional commercial training or corresponding professional background


• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable role within the automotive supplier industry (Tier 1)


• Strong expertise in injection molding and as well as automation and, ideally, tool technology in the thermoplastics or silicone sector


• Proven competence in financial steering and P&L responsibility


• Strong leadership and change management skills with a structured, hands‑on and execution‑driven approach


• Willingness to relocate to the Hunedoara area and travel as required
