About the Role
We are looking for a highly driven Sales Manager (m/f/d) to strategically and operationally steer our sales activities across defined market segments. You will take full ownership of the sales pipeline, drive new customer acquisition, shape our sales strategy, and ensure efficient processes from lead to closed-won opportunities.
This role acts as a key interface between Sales Lead, Lead Performance, KAM, Contract Management and Onboarding, ensuring smooth collaboration and outstanding customer experience.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Strategic & Operational Sales Management
- Drive the full sales cycle for new and existing customers, from opportunity identification to contract signature.
- Plan, manage and continuously optimize the sales pipeline and sales processes.
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives for defined market segments.
- Analyze market dynamics, identify customer needs, and translate insights into sales strategies and value propositions.
Customer Acquisition & Relationship Management
- Actively acquire new customers and manage the transition from lead to opportunity.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new customers, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Collect customer feedback to support product and service improvement.
Sales Planning, Reporting & Process Ownership
- Ensure Salesforce data quality and create a transparent, reliable sales reporting structure.
- Prepare and hand over opportunities into offer, tender, and contract management processes.
- Support sales transformation initiatives related to digitalization, process efficiency, and scalability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate closely with:
- Sales Lead (strategic direction, alignment, input needs)
- Lead Performance Team (lead qualification, handover of opportunities)
- KAM (upselling, joint account development)
- Contract Management (legal negotiation preparation)
- Onboarding Management (handover after closed-won)
Project & Stakeholder Management
- Lead and document sales initiatives and projects, including performance tracking.
- Consolidate information into actionable Market Insights and strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
- Prepare the setup of Regional Sales Management and Key Account structures (2026).
What You Deliver (Key Outputs)
- Closed opportunities and contribution to After-Sales & RSD revenue.
- Clean, well-maintained Salesforce data and reporting.
- Regional Sales Concept and documentation of Sales Performance.
- High customer satisfaction and successful onboarding handovers.
- Increased pipeline quality and predictable revenue generation.
KPIs You Own
- Signed contracts per month.
- Revenue from closed-won deals.
- Lead → Opportunity → Closed Won conversion times (L2O, O2CW, CW2S).
- Number and quality of customer touchpoints.
- Customer satisfaction and post-sale feedback.
What You Don’t Do (Role Boundaries)
- Legal contract filing and negotiations (owned by Contract Management).
- Direct management of Key Accounts (owned by KAM).
- Operational process standardization (owned by Sales Excellence).
WHAT YOU BRING ALONG
Professional Experience
- 3–6+ years of experience in Sales Management, Business Development, or Account Management—ideally in B2B, digital services, technology, automotive or consulting environments.
- Proven track record of closing deals and managing a structured sales pipeline.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong sales ownership mindset with hands-on operational execution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking combined with analytical decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
