• Roadmap Support: Develop and maintain the joint roadmap for the Cloud (AWS) and Local Infrastructure teams together with the Infrastructure Services Manager. Convert strategic direction — cost, security, compliance, automation, modernization — into programs with clear scope, milestones, and acceptance criteria.
• Backlog Management: Own the joint backlog across both teams. Write technical user stories and acceptance criteria. Prioritize based on business value, technical risk, compliance requirements, and team capacity.
• Cross-Team Program Delivery: Lead end-to-end delivery of multi-team initiatives spanning AWS and on-premises environments — platform rollouts, infrastructure migrations, compliance initiatives, automation programs.
• Application Team Coordination: Coordinate infrastructure projects and changes with application teams across the organization, aligning timelines, dependencies, and operational impact.
• Sprint & Delivery Coordination: Partner with engineering leads to run sprint planning, backlog grooming, and delivery tracking across both teams. Manage incoming requests and ensure the team operates against agreed priorities.
• Stakeholder Management: Be the bridge between infrastructure teams and application owners, security, architecture, finance, audit, and senior management. Translate technical context into business language and communicate business priorities back to the technical teams.
• Decision Tracking: Participate in design reviews, architecture sessions, and incident post-mortems. Capture decisions and their rationale, ensure they are reflected in the roadmap and backlog, and follow up when context changes.
• Technical Fluency: A conceptual understanding of AWS (VPC, IAM, EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, cost management) and the supporting tooling (Terraform, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, Vault, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki), to follow technical discussions and coordinate work with the Cloud team. Awareness of Microsoft-centric concepts on the local infrastructure side (Active Directory, Entra ID, OIDC, M365) for coordination with that team.
• Reporting & Metrics: Track program delivery against roadmap, platform adoption, cost trends, incident patterns, and automation coverage. Use these metrics to inform continuous improvement across the platforms.
• Management Support: Represent the Infrastructure Services Manager in operational and delivery forums when required, ensuring continuity of decision-making and team coordination.
Nice to have:
• Experience in energy, utilities, or other regulated, mission-critical sectors.
• FinOps fluency — cloud cost optimization, commitment-based pricing models, application-level cost allocation.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow — change, request fulfillment, custom workflows.
• Prior hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, GitLab CI, or similar tooling.
• Product management certifications (CSPO, SAFe POPM) or AWS certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate).
