Trenching Manager Offshore (F/H) PC-d2m-374

d2m Services is recruiting, on behalf of its client, an Offshore Trenching Manager to support a subsea fiber optic cable installation project.

The scope includes subsea trenching (cable burial) operations performed from a vessel using jetting trenching systems (crawler-type ROV).

The position is offshore, onboard the vessel, with mobilization and demobilization from Constanța, Romania.

A dedicated technical team is already mobilized onboard (Deputy Project Manager, Technical Lead, pilots and technicians).

Role:

Reporting to Project Management, the Trenching Manager acts as the offshore coordination and interface focal point between the onboard trenching team, onshore management and the client.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the main interface between the onboard trenching team and the client
• Coordinating communication between offshore teams and onshore management
• Following up on the progress of trenching operations onboard the vessel
• Ensuring clear and structured reporting to both client and internal stakeholders
• Supporting project documentation (activity reports, operational tracking)
• Facilitating the resolution of operational issues, in coordination with the Technical Lead and onboard team
• Representing the project offshore in front of the client

Experience:

• Experience in offshore trenching operations (subsea cables or pipelines)
• Previous exposure to offshore vessel operations

Technical skills:

• General understanding of trenching operations and equipment (ROV / jetting systems)
• Ability to interact effectively with technical teams onboard

Soft skills:

• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to manage interfaces in an offshore environment
• Structured and reliable in reporting

Languages:

• Professional English required

Start Date: 20 May 2026

Duration: Engagement lasts until September 2026

Rotation: Experience 2 exciting offshore rotations, each approximately 45 days long

Location: Based offshore Romania, with mobilization from Constanța
