Area Lead Mine Facilities

Wood is currently seeking an Area Lead – Mine Facilities to support our Projects business. This role will play a key part in the development of a new gold mining and processing facility during the construction and pre-commissioning phases.

The position may initially be office-based in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail, prior to mobilising to a site-based assignment in Saudi Arabia on an 8/2 rotation.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Lead the construction of mine facilities and supporting infrastructure.


• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical & instrumentation (E&I) works across all project phases.


• Manage contractors and ensure compliance with HSE standards, project schedules, and quality requirements.


• Oversee project execution and ensure smooth handover of completed assets to Operations.


• Workshops, warehouses, offices, fuel systems, roads, drainage, infrastructure

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Minimum 15 years of relevant industry experience


• Bachelor's degree in engineering


• Experience working in Mining infrastructure projects OR Oil & Gas industrial facilities and infrastructure developments.
