Role & Responsibilities

As an Enterprise Architect, your role & responsibilities include:


1. Developing Enterprise Architecture Strategy



  • Design the enterprise architecture to support healthcare sector directions.   Drive the alignment of the enterprise architecture with the overall business strategy. 

  • Synthesise diverse enterprise needs and perspectives, conduct business and system reviews, and develop original and fresh ideas, solutions and recommendations. 

  • Communicate the enterprise architecture to the business and clinical leadership and at multiple levels of the organisation to gain their support.

  • Develop a roadmap of projects and initiatives that enable the healthcare sector to gradually achieve the future state architecture.  


2. Implementing the Enterprise Architecture roadmap



  • Build strong partnership with business and IT stakeholders to create ownership to jointly achieve the enterprise architecture goals.

  • Influence business stakeholders to shift priorities, resources, and budgets to align with the enterprise architecture roadmap.

  • Propose commercially and technically-savvy ways to expedite set up of enterprise systems.  Advise management on the feasibility on potential future projects.  

  • Optimise the portfolio of systems and programmes to advance the Enterprise Architecture roadmap.


3. Setting standards and governing the enterprise architecture



  • Develop forward-looking standards and guidelines that continue to be relevant for cloud native technologies, artificial intelligence, IOT and stringent security requirements. 

  • Drive the acceptance and adoption of enterprise standards and directions by leveraging on strong relationships with the leadership and building trust with implementation teams.

  • Provide targeted and architecture guidance at solution and architecture review forums.


4. Stewardship of Synapxe architecture capability 



  • Develop Synapxe’ architecture capability through ongoing coaching, mentoring and career discussions with architects and technical staff.

  • Define common goals, direction and accountability among the architects.

  • Drive effective performance management practices within department in accordance with company policies and procedures

Requirements


  • At least 4 years of experience as an architect, and at least 10 years of experience in implementing IT systems. 

  • Demonstrable knowledge of web based architectures, integration methods and strategies to support non-functional requirements such as agility, resilience and performance.    

  • Working knowledge of web, mobile and cloud technology.   

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics.
