Associate Director -Internal Audit

We are seeking a highly experienced Associate Director to lead and manage internal audit engagements within the Oil & Gas sector. The ideal candidate will come from a Big 4 or leading consulting firm with proven expertise in internal audit, risk management, and controls, specifically within the manufacturing industry. This role requires strong leadership, client management skills, and the ability to deliver value-driven solutions to complex business challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  Lead internal audit projects for Oil & Gas clients, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with industry standards and best practices.

  Develop and implement audit strategies, methodologies, and frameworks tailored to the manufacturing and oil & gas industries.

  
  


• 
  

  Provide assurance on risk management, governance, and internal control systems.

  
  


• 
  

  Manage client relationships at senior levels, acting as a trusted advisor on internal audit, compliance, and risk issues.

  
  


• 
  

  Identify areas for process improvement, cost optimization, and risk mitigation within client operations.

  
  


• 
  

  Supervise, mentor, and develop audit teams, ensuring effective knowledge sharing and skill development.

  
  


• 
  

  Coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of projects.

  
  


• 
  

  Keep abreast of industry developments, regulatory updates, and emerging risks in Oil & Gas and manufacturing.

  
  

Key Requirements

• 
  

  Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field. Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA, ACCA preferred.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience: 10–14 years of experience in internal audit, with at least 5 years in a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm.

  
  


• 
  

  Strong exposure to manufacturing industry processes, systems, and controls.

  
  


• 
  

  Experience working with Oil & Gas clients (upstream, midstream, or downstream) is highly desirable.

  
  


• 
  

  Deep knowledge of internal audit methodologies, risk management frameworks, and compliance standards.

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

  Strong leadership skills with proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements.
