Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the banquet department, ensuring smooth execution of events, meetings, weddings, and special functions
Lead, supervise, train, and motivate the banquet service team to deliver professional and consistent service standards
Coordinate closely with the Events, Sales, Kitchen, Stewarding, Housekeeping, and Front Office teams to ensure seamless event preparation and execution
Review event orders, function sheets, setup requirements, guest preferences, and special requests prior to each event
Ensure all banquet setups, service sequences, table arrangements, equipment, and presentations meet luxury hotel standards
Act as the main operational contact during events, handling guest and client requirements professionally
Monitor guest satisfaction and resolve any service concerns promptly and effectively
Manage staff scheduling, duty allocations, grooming standards, attendance, and performance
Ensure compliance with hygiene, health, safety, and hotel service standards at all times
Control operating supplies, equipment, inventory, and breakage while supporting cost-efficiency
Support departmental budgeting, reporting, training plans, and service improvement initiatives
Conduct pre-event briefings and post-event reviews to ensure continuous improvement
Represent the hotel professionally when dealing with VIP guests, corporate clients, and event organizers
Requirements
Female Arabic speaker required
Minimum 5 years of experience in banquet operations, with at least 2 years in a managerial or assistant managerial role
Prior experience in a 5-star or luxury hotel environment is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of banquet service standards, event setup, function planning, and large-scale event operations
Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
Strong guest relations skills with a professional and solutions-focused approach
Fluent in Arabic and English
Presentable, confident, and able to communicate professionally with VIP guests and clients
Flexible to work according to event schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Familiarity with hotel systems, event orders, inventory control, and operational reporting is an advantage
