Cashier

Purpose of the role:

Acts as the final point of contact in the sales process, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of customer transactions. Provides excellent customer service, promotes value-added products and services, and maintains full accountability for assigned cash and workstation standards.

Roles, responsibility and authority:

Customer Focus

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient checkout experience to every customer.


• Greet, engage, and thank customers, ensuring a positive impression of the store.


• Support the store’s customer service program (e.g., Guest model) and contribute to CSI results.


• Escalate customer complaints or issues promptly to the Operations Manager.

Products & Services Sales

• Promote add-on products, services, warranties, and accessories during checkout.


• Support seasonal campaigns and promotional transactions in line with company procedures.

Cash Handling, Safety & Security

• Responsible for assigned float and reconciliation at end of shift.


• Accurately process all transaction types (cash, card, vouchers, digital payments).


• Immediately report discrepancies, shortages, or irregularities to the Operations Manager.


• Comply with all cash handling SOPs, including opening, closing, and custody procedures.

Workstation Standards

• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cashier workstation.


• Ensure compliance with model store guidelines at the checkout area.

Team & Self-Development

• Participate in training sessions and keep updated on new products and policies.


• Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive approach to learning.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Diploma/bachelor’s preferred).


• 0–2 years of cashiering or customer service experience.


• Proficiency in Arabic & English.


• Basic math, computer literacy, and POS system knowledge.


• Customer service orientation and attention to detail.


• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and peak seasons.
