Consultant Endocrinologist

• Provide Consultant-level assessment, diagnosis and management of endocrine and metabolic disorders.
  


• Manage complex endocrine conditions and long-term chronic disease.
  


• Provide specialist management of diabetes and its complications.
  


• Assess and manage thyroid, adrenal, pituitary and parathyroid disorders.
  


• Manage calcium and metabolic bone disorders where appropriate.
  


• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing patient follow-up.
  


• Work collaboratively with other medical and surgical specialties.
  


• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and clinical decision-making.
  


• Support teaching, mentoring and supervision of junior physicians.
  


• Participate in clinical governance, audit and quality improvement activities.
  


• Maintain high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety.
  

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you need to meet the following criteria:

• Medical degree such as MBBS, MBChB or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  


• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine.
  


• Recognized postgraduate qualification/training in Endocrinology / Endocrinology and Diabetes / Diabetes & Metabolism, as appropriate to the intended Consultant classification.
  


• Substantial Consultant-level experience in Endocrinology.
  


• Recognized Western qualification required in accordance with the employer's criteria.
  


• Must be eligible for SCFHS professional classification at Consultant level in Endocrinology.
  


• Valid professional registration/licensing in the country of current practice.
  


• Ability to provide the relevant qualification, registration and experience documentation required for SCFHS assessment and verification.
  


• Bilingual Arabic and English communication skills required.
