Design Engineer - Ball Valve

The Ball Valve Design Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and engineering

support of ball valves for industrial applications, ensuring compliance with international

standards such as API 6D, API 608, ASME B16.34, ISO 17292, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

 Design and develop ball valves (floating and trunnion-mounted) from concept to

production.

 Create 2D/3D models, detail drawings, and bills of materials using CAD software

(e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).

 Perform engineering calculations (sealing force, torque, wall thickness, flow, etc.).

 Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, QC, and

procurement) for prototype development and testing.

 Ensure product compliance with relevant standards (API 6D, ISO, ASME, NACE

MR0175, etc.).

 Participate in design reviews and failure analysis (FMEA, root cause analysis).

 Provide technical support for customer queries and internal departments.

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

 3–6 years of experience in valve or pressure-containing equipment design.

 Proficient in CAD software(Solidworks / Autocad) and engineering analysis tools.

 Knowledge of materials, coatings, and manufacturing processes used in valve

design.
