Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the housekeeping operations of the hotel


• Develop and implement housekeeping policies and procedures


• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas


• Manage the housekeeping staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations


• Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment


• Coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction and resolve any issues or complaints


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations


• Monitor and control departmental expenses


• Implement sustainability initiatives and promote environmentally-friendly practices

Essential Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Director of Housekeeping or similar role


• Excellent knowledge of housekeeping operations and procedures


• Strong leadership and organizational skills


• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team


• Attention to detail and commitment to high standards


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Knowledge of health and safety regulations


• Ability to handle and resolve guest complaints

Desired Experience:

It is desired that the candidate has at least 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or hospitality industry.
