Faculty Member in Obstetrics & Gynecology Medicine

Batterjee Medical College is seeking a qualified and experienced Faculty Member in Obstetrics & Gynecology to join the General Medicine Program. This role focuses on delivering high -quality clinical and academic teaching, mentoring medical students, and contributing to research and community health in line with accreditation standards.

Teaching & Clinical Education

• Deliver Obstetrics & Gynecology lectures, clinical teaching sessions, and tutorials
  
• Facilitate bedside teaching, case -based discussions, and clinical skills training
  
• Cover core areas including:
  
  • Antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care
    
  • Gynecological disorders and management
    
  • Reproductive health and women’s health
    
• Support OSCE preparation and clinical competency assessments
  
• Apply integrated teaching approaches (CBL/PBL)
  
• Utilize LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools
  
• Prepare and administer assessments (e.g., ExamSoft)
  
• Maintain accurate academic records (attendance, evaluations, reports)
  

Student Support & Development

• Provide academic advising and clinical mentoring
  
• Support development of clinical reasoning and patient -centered care
  
• Monitor performance and provide structured feedback
  

Research & Scholarly Activities

• Conduct and publish research in Obstetrics & Gynecology or related fields
  
• Participate in academic conferences and research initiatives
  
• Contribute to the institution’s research culture
  

Academic Quality & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with academic policies and accreditation standards (e.g., NCAAA)
  
• Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement
  
• Prepare course and program reports
  

Collaboration & Engagement

• Participate in academic committees and departmental meetings
  
• Collaborate with clinical departments and hospital partners
  

Requirements

• MBBS with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology (Board certified / equivalent)
  
• PhD (if applicable) is an advantage
  
• Clinical experience in hospital settings is required
  
• Experience teaching in a medical college or clinical training environment
  
• Familiarity with integrated curriculum and modern teaching approaches
  
• Experience with LMS (Blackboard) and digital teaching tools
  

• Strong clinical and academic expertise in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  
• Excellent teaching and communication skills
  
• Ability to integrate theory with clinical practice
