About the Role

Babcock is continuing to grow across the region, and we’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to support our Corporate Services team. Based at our Franklin Street office and reporting to our Group Reporting Manager, this role is a key partner to functional leaders across the business, helping them make confident, informed decisions.

While technical capability is essential, we’re looking for someone who brings strong stakeholder engagement skills, someone who can challenge constructively, communicate clearly and translate financial information into meaningful insights. As the Finance Manager, you’ll provide timely analysis, guidance and forward‑looking financial support to ensure our shared services and enabling functions deliver on their strategic and operational goals.

You’ll lead budgeting and forecasting cycles, drive performance reporting, support business cases and investment decisions, and help maintain strong financial governance across the organisation. This role also plays an important part in improving the quality and efficiency of our financial processes, contributing to automation, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives.

To be successful, you will bring:

• Australian Citizenship with a Defence Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain).


• Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.


• Professional qualification in CA/CPA.


• Experience as a finance manager or a role similar in skill and responsibility in a large corporate environment.


• Exceptional communicator who confidently influences stakeholders across the business.
