Head of Development

Role Description

Responsible for leading real estate development projects from early-stage assessment through development planning and delivery. The role focuses on identifying development opportunities and preparing feasibility studies and business plans while ensuring projects support the company’s commercial and investment objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new developments and redevelopment opportunities.
• Assess potential projects through market research and feasibility studies.
• Develop project concepts and positioning strategies.
• Prepare financial models and investment scenarios.
• Develop asset business plans with key internal teams.
• Work closely with Leasing and Design on retail strategy and project planning.
• Evaluate asset enhancement opportunities to improve value and returns.
• Present development strategies and investment recommendations to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate or Finance or Business Administration or Architecture or a related field.
• 10+ years of relevant real estate development experience.
• Strong experience in retail and/or mixed-use developments.
• Strong knowledge of feasibility studies and financial modelling.
• Experience in development strategy and project positioning.
• Good understanding of retail development and tenant mix.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and presentation skills.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Strong written and spoken English.
