Job Description - Operator, Mould

Tundish preheating, Slide gate cylinder, sensor fixing, Shroud fixing, / changing and cleaning.

Ladle nozzle opening / lancing, Temperature, sampling

Slag boxes and emergency slag boxes cleaning / changing

Mould body changing, mould tube cleaning, oil ways cleaning

Dummy bar packing / sealing, Oil tank topping up.

Monitoring / reporting tundish level during casting.

Strand preparation for casting, Sanding of tundish nozzles.

Start of casting, slag fishing and end of casting.

Strand operation in shifts, starting / restarting as and when required.

Spray nozzle cleaning / changing during turn round / down day.

Housekeeping in all CCM area

To understand and follow the organizational HS&E policies.

To follow safety instructions related to their jobs.

To report damaged PPE, unsafe machines or equipment to concerned staff.

To keep the provided PPEs in good, workable conditions.

To avoid any horseplay and abuse of safety devices, equipment and welfare facilities.

To report any accidents, near misses or hazardous conditions to concerned responsible.

To attend safety trainings planned for them.

Having a right to say "NO" to any unsafe work.
