Plant Manager

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring for the position of Plant Manager in Saudi Arabia / Middle East. The requirement is for professionals with strong expertise in conventional power generation and water desalination environments, including steam turbines and gas turbines. Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall operations and maintenance activities for conventional power generation and water desalination facilities.
  
• Direct safe and reliable operation of steam turbines, gas turbines, balance-of-plant equipment, and desalination systems.
  
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies to maximize plant availability.
  
• Monitor plant efficiency, generation output, water production, equipment reliability, and operating performance.
  
• Coordinate operations, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, maintenance, HSE, and engineering teams.
  
• Ensure compliance with plant operating procedures, HSE requirements, environmental standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  
• Plan shutdowns, overhauls, major maintenance activities, resource requirements, and contractor deployment.
  
• Review operational KPIs, plant incidents, technical problems, maintenance performance, and improvement initiatives with senior management.
  

Required Skills

1. Power Plant Operations & Maintenance: Strong understanding of safe, reliable and efficient operation of utility-scale conventional power facilities.
   
2. Steam & Gas Turbine Systems: Technical knowledge of turbine operation, auxiliaries, performance monitoring and maintenance requirements.
   
3. Water Desalination: Familiarity with operation and maintenance practices associated with industrial desalination facilities.
   
4. Plant Reliability & Maintenance: Ability to manage preventive, predictive, corrective and outage maintenance programs.
   
5. HSE & Compliance: Strong working knowledge of plant safety systems, permit-to-work practices, risk controls and operational compliance.
   

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing integrated power and desalination facilities.
  
• Exposure to major plant shutdowns, turbine overhauls and performance-improvement programs.
  
• Experience leading multidisciplinary O&M teams in Saudi Arabia or the wider Middle East.
  

Work Experience Requirements

For a Plant Manager position of this scope, a typical experience range is approximately 12–18 years in power generation, utilities or desalination operations. Candidates would typically be expected to have several years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience within a steam turbine, gas turbine, conventional power plant or integrated power-and-water facility.

Education

• Minimum: Typically B.E./B.Tech or equivalent engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Power, Chemical or a related engineering discipline
  
• Preferred: Postgraduate qualification in Engineering, Operations, Energy or Management
  
• Additional: Relevant HSE, plant operations, maintenance, reliability or project-management certifications are advantageous
