Job Description – Senior Buyer, Mobiles & Tablets
Position Overview
The Senior Buyer – Mobiles & Tablets is responsible for managing the commercial performance of the category by driving sales, margin, stock availability, and inventory health. The role focuses on category growth, supplier management, assortment optimization, and execution of commercial plans to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Category Management
- Own sales, margin, availability, and aging KPIs.
- Develop category plans and growth strategies.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Supplier Management
- Manage relationships with vendors and brand principals.
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, marketing support, and commercial terms.
- Conduct regular business reviews with suppliers.
Assortment & Inventory Management
- Manage product range and lifecycle.
- Decide which brands and models to grow or phase out.
- Ensure healthy inventory levels and minimize aging stock.
Commercial Planning
- Build and execute promotional plans and product launches.
- Analyze sales and profitability performance.
- Recommend pricing and corrective actions to achieve targets.
Reporting & Collaboration
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and E-Commerce teams to ensure successful execution.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Buying or Category Management.
- Experience in Mobiles, Tablets, or Consumer Electronics preferred.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and Excel skills.
