Job Description

This position will support a wide range of infrastructure items related to security, system software, installation, optimization, monitoring and administration of systems and applications to ensure that systems perform at their highest levels. This position requires expert knowledge in a variety of operating systems, virtual environments, Windows server, storage systems, as well as infrastructure security.

This Job Is For You If

• You can support all aspects of a complex secure windows infrastructure environment.


• You can perform regular application installations, configurations, service patches, and day-to-day administration.


• You can quickly troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.


• You are used to staying familiar with new versions of applications used on servers.


• You have strong experience with DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, LDAP, NIS, RDS and Certificate Services.


• You are able to work in a mixed OS environment including Microsoft Servers.


• You have an advanced understating of firewall operations and security-related applications, NAC, EDR, IDS


• You can support VMware virtual environments.


• You can document issues and associated resolutions to problems.

Job Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent and relevant degree; work experience in lieu of degree may be considered.  Minimum10 years practical experience in a complex, multiplatform environment. 


• Expert knowledge of Infrastructure systems and Microsoft server operating systems, along with scripting tools, PowerShell, utility software, and high availability software on these platforms. 


• Expertise with administration and configuration of various application platforms and servers. 


• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure security, basic firewall and NAC configurations as well as support of security-related software.


• In-depth knowledge of system and high availability application architectures and typical application-system dependences and APIs. 


• Familiar with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, WINS, Active Directory, LDAP, NIS, and related network protocols and services. 


• Familiar with server administration in VMware environment


• Ability to quickly adapt to new applications, managing the interaction between the application and the OS to ensure optimal performance.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to deal effectively with diverse skill sets and personalities, works effectively as a team player. 


• Creative and organized with a proven ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and utilize time effectively. 


• Executes all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically. Above-average oral, written and presentation skills


• Good communications skills with ability to understand and establish written and /or verbal instructions.
