AWS Solutions Architect

Amidel is an Information Technology and Business Consulting Company that provides highly specialised solutions to large and small enterprises in both the private and public sectors.

We are seeking an AWS architect to join our team deployed full-time to our clients leveraging AWS cloud solutions.

Job family: Cloud computing, DevOps, CI/ CD pipelines
Minimum Experience:

• 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.


• 5+ years of experience in optimizing environments and solutions for cost efficiency


• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional or Associate) or equivalent certification
  

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s or higher degree in Data Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computational Mathematics, Quantitative Fields, Computer Science, or Finance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities differ across client engagements but may include:

• Design and implement AWS cloud-based solutions, ensuring best practices and security standards.


• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.


• Evaluate and recommend AWS services and third-party tools to meet business needs.


• Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design specifications.


• Lead the migration of on-premises applications to AWS.


• Optimize AWS environments for cost, performance, and reliability.


• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive issue resolution.


• Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and knowledge sharing.


• Stay updated with the latest AWS innovations and industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in designing complex cloud-native applications and microservices.


• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and more.


• Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in the cloud.


• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or AWS CDK.


• Scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell).


• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
