DevOps engineer

We are urgently looking for
a DevOps engineer for Standard bank. The person will be expected to work on a
hybrid bases going in 2x a week to the Rosebank office in JHB ( sometimes
Simmonds street but not often)  BUT the client is moving towards full time
back in office at some point so I just want to be fully transparent about this
upfront.

Culture fit is extremely
important for the hiring manager. He is looking for someone vibrant, with a
great positive attitude as the team is very friendly and upbeat so they need
someone who would fit in well.

The rate is between R 90 k –
R 100k.

the person is expected to live and work in JHB.

Experience

• Hands
  on work experience in a hybrid (AWS) cloud environment preferably in the
  financial sector with PCI -DSS compliant systems.
  

• Implementing
  CI/CD pipeline automation across functional areas
  

• AWS
  workload automation (provisioning infrastructure and custom software
  configuration rollout)
  

• Implementing
  Observability for hybrid cloud -based environments
  

• Strong
  understanding of networking principles and protocols
  

• Troubleshooting
  low latency & Java based applications in a SRE (Site Reliability
  Engineering) context
  

• Familiarity/applying
  Platform Engineering principles and practices
